**Sentinel Dock & Door Solutions**is a leading Canadian provider of commercial dock and door services. Established in 2024 by Trivest Partners, Sentinel was created through the acquisition of top regional service organizations including Lenworth Building Services, Pro Door & Dock Systems, Mar-Lin Dock & Door, Door Doctor, and Secord Doors. Together, we deliver installation, repair, and maintenance services for overhead doors, dock levelers, and related industrial equipment.

The **Director, Workforce Development & Culture**plays a critical role in shaping how we develop apprentices, lead technicians, and leaders across the platform. This is a hands-on, impact-driven leadership role that connects strategic priorities with practical execution in the field.

Key Responsibilities

**Technical Training & Capability Development**

  • Enhance and align apprentice and lead technician pathways across partner brands.
  • Strengthen progression from Apprentice to Lead Technician through structured, field-based development
  • Work with our platform companies to elevate Lead Technicians as both technical experts and effective people leaders
  • Strengthen leadership capability across frontline and functional leaders, reinforcing accountability and commercial awareness
  • Implement and manage Sentinel’s Learning Management System (LMS) to support scalable onboarding and skill progression
  • Establish and track clear metrics for skill progression, leadership readiness, and program effectiveness across brands.
  • Leverage internal subject matter expertise to scale best practices while maintaining operational consistency.

**Cultural Alignment**

  • Advance our shared values and leadership standards across the platform.
  • Partner with our HR partners & leaders to ensure accountability, safety, and performance remain central to how we operate
  • Implement practical methods to gather ongoing feedback and translate key themes into focused action
  • Support consistency across partner brands while respecting operational differences.
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience in workforce, technical, or leadership development within operational environments.
  • Experience in skilled trades or field-based businesses preferred.
  • Experience implementing or managing an LMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple brands and functions.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation capability.

  • Comfortable balancing platform-level thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Able to raise standards without overcomplicating the business.
  • High-energy, structured, and execution-oriented.

**Total compensation range**: $125,000–$155,000, commensurate with experience.
