Raising our Storytelling Sights
Hosted by Canadian Community of Corporate Educators / CCCE
About This Event
An opportunity is at hand. A chance to impact the people we lead and work with. To connect, inspire, guide and persuade through everyday business storytelling. And who better to lead the way than talent development professionals? Every day. All around us. We impact the lives of people. Rance helps us to see beyond the use of stories at work as strictly a training tool (he’ll talk about that), but also as the language of humans who need connection, inspiration, guidance and persuasion. Join this session for an inspirational and practical start to a transformed workspace, where stories are always welcomed.
Speaker Biography - Rance Greene
Rance Greene, like most everybody, has always loved a good story. His work as an actor, choreographer, playwright, teacher and speaker revolved around connecting people...through story. But when he entered the corporate world it became apparent that sharing stories at work was a struggle for many people, and in some cases, taboo.
The fear of being vulnerable or telling an irrelevant story held them back. Or it was perceived as a sign of weakness. So Rance developed a practical method that instills courage and ensures a powerful, relevant story. That method is Story Design. Now, it is transforming the way leaders communicate and revolutionizing corporate training.
